Dream Bigger: Backbends and Manifestation with Arielle Shipe Fri, Feb 8, 2019 at 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm

Manifesting has two steps: The dreaming and the doing. In the yoga community we hear A LOT about the dreaming part of the equation but not so much about the later. Manifestation requires action. We will take this time to contemplate not only what we want to manifest but how. We will use a back bending practice to open our hearts and explore the questions: What does my dream life look like and how am I going to get there?

This class will be led by a special guest teacher, Arielle Shipe, and assisted by our very own Erika Lundy.

About the Guest Teacher: Arielle Shipe is best known for her adventurous posts and thoughtful captions on Instagram. She is an E-RYT 500hr yoga and meditation teacher from Aspen, Colorado, as well as an online personal development teacher. She is on a mission to help as many people as possible live their dream lives and her intention is to teach people how to maximize their potential in all aspects of their life. According to Arielle, yoga is a multifaceted practice designed to meet us wherever we need it. In her classes you can expect to sweat, smile, and discover there is so much more to yoga than downward facing dog.

As the days become darker and colder over the winter months, our bodies are programmed to crave rest and restoration. Unfortunately our society no longer recognizes this natural hibernation cycle, demanding high energy and long days which throws our circadian rhythm out of balance and can lead to fatigue, digestive issues and even depression around this time of year. This workshop is designed to restore balance and create a healing environment that will leave you feeling recharged and grounded in your self care practice. Megan will guide you through a 2 hour relaxation session with the use of Movement, Guided Meditation, Reiki and Essential Oils. Give yourself permission to rest and let the benefits of your practice unfold.

Crow & Company with Kelly Love Sat, Feb 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

In this workshop we will learn all about the Bakasana (aka “Crow”) family of arm balances. Every yoga posture, when executed safely, begins with a solid foundation. All of the postures in the Crow family are arm balances that essentially “sit on top of” a Chaturanga foundation. So we will first break down the proper alignment to execute a safe and effective Chaturanga, and then build our arm balances on top of this foundation. This workshop will include a short practice to warm the body, some lecture to discuss alignment and technique as well as practice of the following postures and their modifications: crow, side crow, one legged crow and some of the distant cousins to the Bakasana family. All levels welcome but a regular vinyasa practice is recommended.

Limited Availability, as this workshop is a module in 200- hour yoga teacher training. 10 Spots Only!
