What should I wear to a hot yoga class?

Wear anything that you're comfortable moving and sweating in.  Since the room is heated to 95 degrees, lightweight and moisture wicking fabrics are recommended.  You can practice either barefoot or with socks, shoes are left outside of the yoga studio. 

What should I bring with me to class?

We recommend a yoga mat, towel, and water. If you don’t have these items or forget them, no worries! We offer mat and towel rentals and water for purchase in the reception area.

Where can I leave my belongings during class?

We have a storage area for your personal belongings in the reception area and all doors will be locked during class.  However, please leave your jewelry and valuable belongings at home, as Priya Hot Yoga is not responsible for lost or stolen items. 

What is the benefit of practicing yoga in a heated environment?

Lovers of hot yoga believe the heat extends the ability of the ligaments, and muscles. Hot yoga practice is also said to release toxins, improve muscle tone, enable weight loss, improve flexibility, and strengthen the immune system. And some people just like to get a good sweat in, which we can promise to deliver

Are your classes beginner friendly?

The classes at Priya Hot Yoga are designed for all levels. Our instructors always offer ways to modify poses for newer yogi’s, so beginners are always welcome.  When in doubt, child’s pose :)

Should I buy a monthly unlimited membership?

The monthly unlimited program is ideal if you practice 2-3 times or more per week. You have unlimited access to all our regularly scheduled classes.  To keep it simple, we will automatically debit your credit card on file on each monthly anniversary.  Additionally, the 6 and 12 month autopay memberships come with "freeze" periods.  Freeze periods are once every 6 months, and you can freeze your membership for up to 2 weeks at a time. Lastly, members with any autopay membership receive 10% off all workshops!  

Where can I park?

There is 2 hour street parking available along Callowhill Street and many of the side streets surrounding the studio.  If you park in a Kiosk area, make sure to get a ticket and leave it on your dashboard.  The PPA is no joke!

Where can I grab a bite to eat after class? I’m always starving!

We carry a great variety of healthy snack and drink options in our reception area. Feel free to hang around after class in our seating area and enjoy, or grab something and go!  

Do I need to register for class, or can I just show up?

It is not required to register online for class, we offer this as a convenience to our clients to guarantee your spot. If you do not register online, definitely try and arrive at least 15 minutes early. Open spaces in the class will be allotted on a first come, first serve basis.

What if I am running late?

In order to respect other students and our teachers, we do not allow late entry. The door will be locked once the class begins. Please try and arrive 10-15 minutes before class to give yourself some time to settle in.
